Position Details:
Position: Registered Nurse (RN)
Setting: Long-Term Care / Skilled Nursing / Geriatric Behavioral Health
Schedule: 12-Hour Night Shifts or Day Shift Available
(6:00 PM – 6:30 AM) or (6:30 AM -6:00 PM) Every other Weekend Rotation
Guaranteed 36 Hours Per Week (Overtime Available)
Location: Near McCook County, SD
Length: 13-Week Contract with Extension Potential

NOTE: This opportunity is with a respected post-acute and long-term care facility serving a primarily geriatric population, including residents with dementia, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, paranoia, and other behavioral health diagnoses. Their behavioral health program is well-established, and many residents are highly stable with appropriate treatment plans in place.
What You'll Be Doing
Deliver high-quality nursing care to residents in a long-term care and skilled nursing environment
Perform assessments, medication administration, treatments, and documentation
Monitor changes in condition and communicate with providers and interdisciplinary team members
Provide compassionate care to residents with dementia, behavioral health, and psychiatric diagnoses
Maintain accurate charting and regulatory compliance using PointClickCare
Support resident-centered care plans while promoting safety, dignity, and quality of life
Qualifications
Active RN License Required South Dakota or Compact Nursing License
Minimum 1+ Year Recent Experience (within the last 3 years) Long-Term Care, Skilled Nursing, Behavioral Health, or Geriatric Psych experience strongly preferred
